How to clean and maintain vinyl plank flooring? This is a question usually asked. One of the key advantages of vinyl flooring is that it is easy to clean and maintain. The luxury vinyl plank is not only highly durable but also waterproof. It only takes a few simple care and maintenance steps to keep your luxury vinyl floors looking beautiful for years. With some daily care and following some guidelines, you can easily maintain its original look.

If you want to keep your floors looking new and use longer and avoid any higher cost of repairs, then proper maintenance is very crucial. Here gives 3 very easy and normal tips for maintaining your Luxury Vinyl Tile floors.s

  • Dry the water quickly

Using too much water during the cleaning process, or not cleaning up a large amount of spills, will cause the liquid to seep into the small grooves on the floor and may affect the adhesive underneath. Clean with a damp mop and quickly wipe off any spills. Leaving spills on the floor will stain the floor and make it harder for you to clean up once it dries.

  • Sweep the dust usually

If you persist, it will be easy to clean up the dirt every few days. Allowing the dirt to stay will not only make your floor look dirty, it will also make your floor accelerate aging. Dirt and dust like small stones, and human traffic will add micro-scratches on the floor and make it vulnerable to further damage. Vacuuming the floor with a vacuum cleaner usually can help you decrease the daily damage from dust and dirtiness. It will be a good choice that you place a doormat at the entrance of your home. A simple doormat can take away most of the dirt and dust on our shoes. We recommend laying a rough outdoor mat outside the house, and a soft, fluffy, easy-to-dust mat at the entrance.

  • Protect your floors from furniture

Moving furniture on the LVT floor can also scratch the floor. For your chairs that usually move, you can put on some furniture foot protectors, these foot protectors act as cushions between the floor and the furniture contact points. For larger, heavier furniture, consider using some vinyl coasters, which can prevent long-term creasing on vinyl floors. If you are redecorating or moving a lot of furniture, consider placing cardboard, plywood or carpet over the floor. Try to lift it instead of dragging or pushing it.
